2024 Recommender Form
Welcome! This is the form to recommend students for scholarship from the Lewis W. Butler Foundation. We are currently accepting applications until April 7, 2024 for scholarships that will be awarded for the 2024-2025 academic year.

As you advise your student and write your letter, please keep in mind our criteria: 
  • Major: Architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, industrial design, graphic design, illustration, animation, urban design, city planning
  • Are under-represented in design and have financial need for additional scholarship funding
  • Demonstrate high potential in their chosen academic / career path
  • Grew up in, attend / attended school in, or otherwise have ties to the San Francisco Bay Area or California
  • Attended at least 2 years of high school in the U.S.
